VP2 Participate in Ministry
In the Christian context, a minister’s ability to minister, teach and preach is grounded on the strength of his or her grasp of the principles of the Scriptures. This unit prepares candidates to investigate and understand the New Testament and communicate the message of the New Testament to an audience.
Evangelism
This unit applies to new Christians who desire to share their growing faith with unbelievers.
VP4 Teamwork
This unit describes the performance outcomes, skills and knowledge required to promote teamwork. It involves developing team plans to meet expected outcomes, leading the work team, and proactively working with the management of the organisation.
VP3 Work in Ministry
This unit covers the skills necessary to work as a part of a ministry team in the church. It applies to all ministers, church workers, and volunteers who need to be able to work effectively in ministry teams.
VP1 Participate in WHS
This unit describes the performance outcomes, skills and knowledge required to participate in workplace occupational health and safety (WHS) processes to protect workers' own health and safety, and that of others.
Christian Worldview
In the Christian context, a leader’s ability to lead, teach and preach is grounded on their understanding of Christian theology. This unit sets out the theological content of a Christian worldview, derived from the Scriptures and Christian tradition and provides the basic skills necessary to model and teach this worldview to the church and society. It is thus applicable for all Christian leaders, and to all those seeking to understand and apply Christian theology.
Christian Disciplines
This unit introduces students to contemporary Christian approaches to spiritual disciplines and spirituality. It focuses particularly on the way in which Pentecostal/charismatic movements have experienced God. Christian disciplines form the foundation for Christian living. This unit is thus applicable to all Christians but especially those who seek to disciple or minister to others.
